The Rockin' Cocks started as a three man pump team at a local Charlottesville paintball tournament in 2006. Since then the Rockin' Cocks have expanded to a full roster and network of teams across the world. The RC Army represents that family of pump players made up of the Rockin' Cocks, The RC Revolution (Northern VA), RC Red Star (Australia) and RC Sweden.

We play all kinds of paintball but what we love is playing tournaments with pumps. We don't care what the other team is shooting as long as we've got our pumps...we are having a good time.

The Rockin' Cocks and PEV's Paintball are pleased to present the
 "Let's Get a Dog for Ethan, Ya'll"
 charity paintball tournament.

 General information:

Date: February 26th, 2012
Registration Opens: January 7th, 2012
Registration Deadline: February 19th, 2012 at 6pm 
Field: PEV’s Paintball Park in Aldie, VA.
Divisions: 
Beginner-No tournament experience *(except for PEV's PTS Youth/Beginner league)
Open-(No Pro’ or Semi Pro players allowed)
***All players on each team must fit the above requirements for each division and each team is limited to a roster of 4 players and the event is capped at 32 teams***
Cost: $100.00 per team with all entry money being donated to the cause and you will also get 3 raffle tickets for the event raffle.  Additional raffle tickets are $1 a piece or $5 for 7 tickets.
Paint: Event paint only, $45 a case RPS Premium or equivalent (After you register you will be sent an email, with information pertaining to how to get your paint. Paint will have to be prepaid and have to be ordered two weeks prior to the event, there will be some paint at the field but this is not a guarantee)
Format: Round Robin (Prelims) Single Elimination (Quarters and Semi Finals) and Race to 2 Finals
Rules: Standard NPPL Rules.  All games will be 3minutes, scored on a 100point system and center flag.
Prizes: We have trophies and medals for the top three teams in both divisions. We also have additional prizes that will be announced at a later date, but will be products from the event sponsors:

I’m sure I will get a lot of really good questions about the tournament so I thought I would compile those questions for everyone.

Divisions

There are two divisions, Beginner and Open. Beginner is for players with no tournament paintball experience *(Except 1 Pev’s PTS event in the Youth/Beginner Class). Open is for anyone else, sorry NO Pro’s or Semi Pro players allowed.

Paint

Event paint only, $45 a case RPS Premium or other equivalent (After you register you will be sent an email, with information pertaining to how to go about getting your paint)

Sign Up

This is how you register your team. All registration is being done via PayPal. 
  1. 1. Registration for the event is $100.00 per team. Please use the email account below with PayPal in order to submit your payment. 
  1. 2. When you do this in the comments portion, I will need your team name, captain’s name, and the names of the people on your team. (If all this information won’t fit, please put the team name and division and you will need to email me the rest of the information (use the above address again).
  2. 3. After you pay I will email you confirmation confirming payment and how to go about getting paint.

Can I Sign Up at the Event?

Maybe, but it is much better to preregister. Why?
  1. 1. It's easier for us to setup teams and plan games
  2. 2. You have less to do on the tournament day
  3. 3. Depending on the amount of prize donations. We plan to have a few raffles on the day of the tournament, each preregistered player will get a free raffle ticket.
  4. 4. We are capping each division at 16 teams so you don't want to miss out. 
Event registration must be completed by February 19th, 2012 at 6pm!

Prizes

We have trophies and medals for the top three teams in both divisions. We also have additional prizes that will be announced at a later date, but will be products from the event sponsors (Valken, Style Supply, St!ffi, KM, Exalt, and Sandana).

What if I am not a Paintball Player and still want to contribute?

That is perfect. You can make donations via PayPal. Instead of putting your team name and division with you payment (donation) you will just put “DONATION” in the comments section.
What if I want to play but I don’t own any equipment?

Since this is a charity event we figured that might happen and PEV’s will be providing players that down have equipment with a rental set-up (mask, marker, hopper, tank) at NO CHARGE.

Layout

We will not be releasing the layout before the event. 
Format
Center Flag, the prelims will be round robin, single game elimination quarters/semi finals and Race-2 finals. 
Rates of Fire
The beginner division will be semi-auto only and capped at 12.5bps. The open division will be Ramping 12.5Bps and Capped semi auto 12.5bps.
