Welcome to the Home of the RC Army

The Rockin' Cocks started as a three man pump team at a local Charlottesville paintball tournament in 2006. Since then the Rockin' Cocks have expanded to a full roster and network of teams across the world. The RC Army represents that family of pump players made up of the Rockin' Cocks, The RC Revolution (Northern VA), RC Red Star (Australia) and RC Sweden.

We play all kinds of paintball but what we love is playing tournaments with pumps. We don't care what the other team is shooting as long as we've got our pumps...we are having a good time.

Check out or rosters, videos, pics and propaganda. If you like what you see...or even if you don't...leave a comment and let us know what you think.

Great Day at the Training Grounds

I am wiped out after countless games of paintball on the Training Grounds today. C-Robb, O-face, old man Wimpy, Kirby and UA Carl were among the regulars with K-Robb, and some local law enforcement rounding out the teams.

It was K-Robb's first time on the field after a long hiatus and her first day out with a pump. She played like a champ and we are all looking forward to being out on the field with her as she gets more gun time. This could be the beginning of an all female RC squad...but let's not get ahead of ourselves.

The weather could not have been better and the playing was excellent. It was nice to be on the field with an atmosphere a bit more relaxed than the recent tournaments. Here are a few pics...

Some RC boys throw together a hybrid team for a win!

On Sunday April 19 two players, Jeuse and Snax, from the RC Revolution fielded a team called the Mighty Ducks for the second Pev's Tournament Series of the season. Throwing this team together within the last week we decided to invite a friend by the name of Tony to play with us. We went into this tournament with lots of confidence, starting off the day by winning our first 6 games, maxing almost every game. The 7th game we lost a well played game, but it didn't get us to worried. The next game Zak aka Snax tied a game which pulled us into second with one game before finals. We took the field and maxed the team entering the prelims in first. In the finals we made up for an earlier loss going on to win the last game for 1st place. We thank Tony for helping us out with the win and invite him to play with us again!!!!!

Well done boys... you may not have been wearing the RC jerseys but you did some great work with pump guns. Not to mention the fact that you were repping the RC Army with stickers on your hoppers... nice. Let's get Tony back on that paintball field.... ahem... with a pump next time....

Rockin' Cocks get a shout out in Welt Magazine Issue 7

Out of the blue one night our boy Tung from the University of Virginia Paintball Squad (VaPS) sent us a surprise link, a brief mention of an RC Video in the latest issue of Welt Magazine. The online magazine linked to our video 'RC Army at ZwackerZ', and added some mixed thoughts of their own. Though I was flattered by their interest in my video... as well as their complements regarding our 'unassailably good taste in music'... they were left with the false impression that we only played walk on games. After a few emails back and forth with the editor of the magazine I was told that we'd get a retraction of sorts in the form of pics/vids of us playing in some PTS tournaments. Unfortunately, no retraction made it into the following issues... and I'm hard pressed to find Welts back issues available online. I'm guessing their investment in sponsoring the NPPL video game didn't pan out as expected. Anyhoo... the ZwackerZ vid that was in the original issue is posted below. Enjoy our 'unassailably good taste in music'.

New Pump Hopper? Gex X Global

I found a post poking around PBNation and there seems to be a new pump hopper on the scene. It looks very similar to the terribly brittle BE hoppers but potentially a little more durable. I just got a couple of Winchester hoppers that I haven't tried out yet but maybe this one will be next on the list.

Pump Division at Huntington Beach

The RC family was actually looking forward to checking out the USPL Pump Division in DC but it doesn't look like it's going to happen. Based on the content of the following article, maybe it's for the best.

Here's some video footage of the pump play at HB.

RC Army Shenannigans from Pevs long ago

March 22nd the Rockin' Cocks and the RC Revolution competed in the PTS in Aldie Va. Afterward, they joined forces for some shenanigans on the walkon fields. Here's the foolishness:

RC Army Shukin' and Jivin' Down in Lynchburg

On April 4th, under the aliases Shukin’ and Jivin’ the army traveled to Liberty University for a tournament. There was a 3 man and a 5 man division so the army divided to try and bring home two golds. Wimpy returned from his long vacation to play with Shukin’, his first tournament appearance in almost three years. Shukin’ was made up of C-Rob, O-Face, Lefty Blanks, Smitty, Frieda, and Wimpy. Jivin’ consisted of U.A. Karl, Amish and Spoon.

The turnout was O.K., the 3 man division had 7 teams and the 5 man division had 4. The 3-man was a round robin format with each team playing each other once, since the 5 man division only had 4 teams each team played every other team twice. The tournament was run smoothly and quickly allowing O-Face to play the entire tournament and still make it to work.

Jivin’ played first and lost, shortly after Shukin’ lost their first game as well. They both made adjustments to their game plans and rallied the troops. Jivin’ played strong, winning their second game. Shukin’ followed suit, winning their second game with Wimpy shooting 3 G’s (or K’s as they are now called). Jivin’s day was back and forth finishing prelims with 3 wins and 3 losses. Shukin’ had some very close games but managed to go into the semi-finals with 4 wins and 2 losses.

For the semi-finals the top four teams were taken from each division. The only problem with this was that the 5 man division had 4 teams in total so everyone in the 5-man division made it to the semi-finals. Shukin’ was pumped after the very necessary first 6 games. Both the teams played strong and won their games sending them to play for first and second. The finals were in a best out of three format and Both Shukin’ and Jivin’ had to play tough teams. It was a hard fought battle but both teams had to settle for second.

All in all it was a great day, the RC camp had one of it’s strongest showings yet and they came away with the heads held high knowing that feelings had been hurt and respect had been earned.

Many props and thanks to the Liberty University Paintball team and Big Pearl Paintball for running a quality event.
