Welcome to the Home of the RC Army

The Rockin' Cocks started as a three man pump team at a local Charlottesville paintball tournament in 2006. Since then the Rockin' Cocks have expanded to a full roster and network of teams across the world. The RC Army represents that family of pump players made up of the Rockin' Cocks, The RC Revolution (Northern VA), RC Red Star (Australia) and RC Sweden.

We play all kinds of paintball but what we love is playing tournaments with pumps. We don't care what the other team is shooting as long as we've got our pumps...we are having a good time.

RC Army Shukin' and Jivin' Down in Lynchburg

On April 4th, under the aliases Shukin’ and Jivin’ the army traveled to Liberty University for a tournament. There was a 3 man and a 5 man division so the army divided to try and bring home two golds. Wimpy returned from his long vacation to play with Shukin’, his first tournament appearance in almost three years. Shukin’ was made up of C-Rob, O-Face, Lefty Blanks, Smitty, Frieda, and Wimpy. Jivin’ consisted of U.A. Karl, Amish and Spoon.

The turnout was O.K., the 3 man division had 7 teams and the 5 man division had 4. The 3-man was a round robin format with each team playing each other once, since the 5 man division only had 4 teams each team played every other team twice. The tournament was run smoothly and quickly allowing O-Face to play the entire tournament and still make it to work.

Jivin’ played first and lost, shortly after Shukin’ lost their first game as well. They both made adjustments to their game plans and rallied the troops. Jivin’ played strong, winning their second game. Shukin’ followed suit, winning their second game with Wimpy shooting 3 G’s (or K’s as they are now called). Jivin’s day was back and forth finishing prelims with 3 wins and 3 losses. Shukin’ had some very close games but managed to go into the semi-finals with 4 wins and 2 losses.

For the semi-finals the top four teams were taken from each division. The only problem with this was that the 5 man division had 4 teams in total so everyone in the 5-man division made it to the semi-finals. Shukin’ was pumped after the very necessary first 6 games. Both the teams played strong and won their games sending them to play for first and second. The finals were in a best out of three format and Both Shukin’ and Jivin’ had to play tough teams. It was a hard fought battle but both teams had to settle for second.

All in all it was a great day, the RC camp had one of it’s strongest showings yet and they came away with the heads held high knowing that feelings had been hurt and respect had been earned.

Many props and thanks to the Liberty University Paintball team and Big Pearl Paintball for running a quality event.
