RC Revolution

The RC Revolution is an excited crew of young pumpers out of Aldie, VA that have just joined the RC Army. Spoon and Wimpy met a couple of these guys during some walk on play at PEV's in late 2008. We recognized their legit-ness right away. DK was shooting a stock class phantom and Delicious had a right feed sniper. The four of us locked down one of the walk-on fields for several games in a row. Now the revolution has a full roster and is ready to step up against anyone. Look for them to be a presence during the 2009 PTS.

Ben Allen Memorial Tournament - Recap and Footage

This was the first outing with the complete RC Army fielding three 3-man teams.  Representing the Charlottesville crew was Amish, C-Rob and Spoon on one team with Frieda, UA Karl, Smitty and Lefty Blanks filling out the second C-ville roster.  RC Revolution had their full squad present.

The tournament direction left a little to be desired with excessive delays, several scheduling errors and some inconsistent reffing.  But, those factors aside, the Army still played quite well. I think each team actually came away with 3 wins (out of 6 games played) and we definitely made out presence known.  The vids below will give you a pretty good idea of the type of fire power we were against.

Pay close attention to the slo-mo action.  It's the only way to safely capture the creamsicle magic on film.

Wimpy's Last Stand

Wimpy's Last Stand was a friendly 5 man practice tourney hosted by ZwackerZ paintball. At the time of it's conception we expected it to be the last paintball event Wimpy could participate in before his move to Australia... thus the name. The main goal of this 'tournament' was to help teams with little to no tourney experience get their feet wet under the guidance of some more experienced teams. We made some cheesy trophies as prizes and Dennis put on a great feast in the middle of the day. Eight teams participated: Rockin' Cocks, RC Army, VaPS, 187 Squad, Zee Crew, Scoobie Gang, Bubble Wrappers, and the G.I. Juniors. Anna put a lot of work into making a rock solid schedule that kept us on time all day long. First place went to the 187 Squad, 2nd place went to RC Army, and 3rd went to the Rockin' Cocks. 187 had some top quality pump players... so we recruited a couple of them and they founded the RC Revolution out of Northern Virginia. After the tournament we had an all in brawl covering the entire property. Some players may remember seeing Wimpy desperately crutching out of harms way after popping the smoke grenade that signaled game on.

One of the younger members of the group but don't be fooled.  When Scotty hits his stride he'll run just about any field.  Always rocking his trusty red sniper, you can hear him a mile away.  Scottie was the anchor that brought the rookie team a couple of wins in the October 2008 PTS.

The Rockin Cocks is a small pump team formed many years ago by a few Charlottesville paintballers that were too broke to buy a case of paint.  They built their own training ground and one 10 round tube at a time developed the skills that biult the foundation of what the RC Army is today; A squad of pump players that love playing paintball and have no problems hurting some feelings along the way.
